CUSTOM BOARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Here at Foil Board Shop we are very passionate about foiling, this is one reason why we want to help to get you the right board that is necessary for your progression.
We have ordered many custom shaped foil boards in the past. Surfers know that there is no better feeling than riding a custom shaped board, a board that is belong to you and no-one else. If you have a specific dims & colour in mind – dont hesitate and let us know, we would love to get it shaped for you.
For every custom order, we will need you to send us email with your exact order request. Once we have checked and confirmed your order, we will issue you with an invoice and we will ask you for a deposit of £250.
Please note custom orders can’t be changed once submitted to the factory. The deposit is non-refundable once order is confirmed and board is in production.
Estimated dispatch times are between 6 to 10 weeks (these times are meant as a guide only).
Full payment must be received within 2 weeks of notification of completion of a custom board. If payment is not received, the deposit will be forfeit, and the board will be returned to free stock.
Please bear in mind that carbon boards are finished by hand and occasionally there may be some cosmetic imperfections on the finish – this is one reason why we love carbon boards because each and every boards look unique. Please be aware that logo colour/ position, cosmetic blemishes, variations on resin colour and shading do not constitute a faulty item. Thus, we will not be able to offer returns on custom surfboards on any of these grounds.
Custom orders cannot be returned under our normal Return Policy. This doesn’t affect warranty or your statutory rights
SHIPPING
We aim to keep stock of the most popular prone and wing boards but we are simply not able to keep stock from all sizes. Most of the boards will be imported on a pre-order basis and Foil Board Shop will aim to deliver back orders within 10 working days. However the length of delivery is largely depending on product availability and custom control (thanks to Brexit) which means that delivery can occasionally take between 3 – 6 weeks.
Due to increasing fuel prices *From July 2022 we introduced a £30 shipping fee for larger items but we continue to offer FREE DELIVERY on all UNIFOIL Hydrofoils and Wind Wings and accessories.
We always aim to send parcels using Parcelforce 48h (recorded and signed for). Next day 24/h delivery can be arranged for additional fee.
Additional charges will be added for locations such as Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, for more info please contact us for a quote.
For any non-UK addresses (such as Europe) delivery cost may vary – please contact us for a quote. For item(s) delivered outside of the United Kingdom – It is really important that you check your country import policy. Import taxes may apply and Foilboardshop.co.uk is not responsible for these charges. If any item is rejected by the customer due to these import charges you will receive a full refund for the item but only when the parcel is returned to Foilboardshop.co.uk minus the total shipping and return costs.
Please note it is your responsibility to check that the parcel is delivered undamaged before you sign for them. If any parcel has visual damage following transit, please ensure you sign as “Damaged” and you are within your rights to refuse and ask for it to be returned to the sender. If you cannot thoroughly check the goods please sign for it as ‘unchecked’. It is your duty to inspect and confirm that the goods are in perfect condition before signing. If the goods are damaged, it is crucial that photographic evidence is taken showing the extent of the damage, showing both damage on packaging and damage on the item. Please forward such pictures to us so we can look into it with the courier.
RETURNS/ REFUND POLICY
According to The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the customer’s rights to cancel the order within 14 days after receiving goods. Please note, Foil Board Shop cannot accept returns nor issue a refunds for Custom Orders, Items bought on ‘Back Order’ and Ex-Demo gears, unless the parcel is damaged in transit.

It is the customer responsibility to double check availability prior purchasing. For items on back order, it is very important you contact us before purchasing so we can double check with the factory regarding stock and estimated shipping time. Foil Board Shop will not be able to refund any purchase made on back order just because delivery time is longer than expected unless your board is damaged or delayed beyond the pre agreed delivery time due to the error of the factory/ Courier/ UK custom clearance.
All return item(s) must be in their original condition (with packaging and tags intact). Any return/cancellation/change of mind that falls outside of the 14 days period will not be accepted. Please note that if goods are not returned in the condition in which you received them, we reserve the right to refuse such returns.
Please email us within 14 days of the delivery date so we can provide you with a return address. DO NOT RETURN ITEMS WITHOUT EMAILING US FIRST.
If you have a warranty related issues, please email us providing description of the damage supported by photographic evidence. We will review your claim and decide whether to exchange the item, issue a full refund or issue a credit note. Credit notes are non-negotiable for transactions over 60 day
RIDE OUT GUARANTEE
Our RIDE OUT GUARANTEE means the risk of buying the wrong size foil is a thing of the past. We know that choosing the right size foil is not easy so we decided to let our customers to try out their new gear hassle free. However, if you can, please contact us first so we can help you to pick the right equipment for you. If the foil(s) still doesn’t suit you, Foil Board Shop will swap out any foil(s) (exclusions apply*) purchased from us within 30 days of date of purchase and exchange it for a better suited foil(s). All you need to do is cover the cost of getting the unwanted foil(s) back to us, and pay a processing fee of £50 to Foil Board Shop.
We suggest you return the unwanted foil(s) insured by a registered courier. The foil(s) coming back needs to be in very good condition, slight cosmetic marks left by screw heads are fine but we can not take foil(s) back with scratches, chip, damage including repairs.
Please read the following including the terms and conditions carefully – failure to do so could impact your RIDE OUT eligibility.
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
Email us with the order number, a full picture of the deck, rail and bottom of the foil wing, mast, fuse, tail wing (foil wing must be clean and dry when taking pictures). Send us a description of the condition of the foil wing you would like to exchange and the reason to exchange. We will email you back immediately to confirm it’s eligible. Please note we cannot guarantee any exchange until we receive your foil back in the condition that you described in your email. Once agreed please let us know which foil you would like to exchange so we can issue you with a new invoice. To validate the RIDE OUT you must order a foil that is in stock, you cannot order a foil that is not in stock. Once you’ve received the new foil please package up the foil you wish to return carefully and return the unwanted foil wing, mast, fuse and/or tail wing back to us within 5 working days. After this time, we cannot guarantee any exchange. Please contact us via email if there is any issue.
Please email us for our return address – DO NOT return items without emailing us first.
Please note: You will be responsible for the foil(s) until they reach us. We recommend foils are packaged in the original box with the additional packaging. We recommend using parcel force 48-hour return (recorded and signed) option. When the foil gets back to us we will require you to pay the £50 processing. We will exchange and ship you new foil once the £50 processing fee is payed.
T&Cs:
The RIDE OUT GUARANTEE is for Unifoil Hydrofoils. The RIDE OUT GUARANTEE is not available for foil boards unless it was agreed with Foil Board Shop prior sale. Exchange of hydrofoils must be agreed in principle with Foil Board Shop within 30 days of the invoice date. RIDE OUT GUARANTEE is for exchange for another foil, Foil Board Shop will only exchange foils for foil that are in stock. It is the customer responsibility making sure that your preferred foil is in stock before returning your unwanted gear back to us. Foil Board Shop wont be able to issue a refund for used equipment.
Foil(s) must be returned within 5 working days of the Ride Out being confirmed. the £50 processing fee must be payed in full before we can exchange. Foil(s) need to be clean and dry. The foil(s) coming back needs to be in very good condition, slight cosmetic marks left by the screw heads and where mast/fuse connect to the front wing & stabs are fine but we can’t accept foils with deep scratches, chips, damage and repairs.
You are responsible for the foil(s) being sent back until it reaches us. We have the right to refuse any foil(s) being damaged in transit. Refund for the exchanged foil(s) will only be issued once we get your foil(s) back and the condition has been confirmed. You cannot benefit from any loyalty discount on the replacement foil(s) if you only qualify by virtue of the purchase of the foil(s) coming back to us.
